What to order
There are a number of software options available to Stata users.  We aim to provide you with enough information regarding the pricing and licence options available to you.  If you have any questions regarding the pricing applicable to you, please contact our Stata Sales Desk for further information. We require the following information:

Upgrade Orders
When upgrading licenses we require each serial number of the licenses you are upgrading

Licensing Options Single/Multiple-User Licenses – Available to Academic & Non-Academic Users

These licenses are to be installed on the hard disks of stand-alone computers / laptops and also provide home-use.  The software licence manager allows a maximum of two installations on separate computers, however simultaneous use is not permitted.  Single / multiple user licences cannot be installed as part of a network. 

Conditions apply when purchasing additions to a multiple user licence.  The benefit of purchasing multiple user licences at volume pricing is only applicable within 30-days of the original order.  Following this period, the cost of additional licenses will revert back to first user pricing.  

Network Licenses
Available to Non- Academic & Academic Users

These licenses may only be installed on networks.  It is the duty of the IT manager to control access to the licences installed on a network.  Home use is not permitted.

Teaching (LAB) Licenses
Available to Academic Users Only

These licenses are for the exclusive use of students using a computer lab.  They should not be used by lecturers for research purposes or any other purpose other than teaching.

GradPlans
Available to Academic Users Only

Allows students to purchase Stata at special low prices.  The GradPlan is not designed to service the needs of academic researchers. However, GradPlans Options 1 & 2 allow academic organisations to purchase, under certain conditions, these licenses to be also distributed to their research staff.

Annual maintenance for large sites
Available to Non-Academic & Academic Users

Annual maintenance for Stata software is available.  This is more suited for larger sites that hold multiple user licenses and primarily assists in the budgeting of licences with regards to upgrades and when purchasing additional licences. Contact us for further information.

How to Order
Contact our Stata Sales desk by phone, fax or email with details of your order or with any questions that you may have.

In most cases, we will process your order immediately following receipt of an official Purchase Order and the information requested in the Order Form, however in certain cases, we do require prior clear funds. 

We need the following information to enable us to process your order:

1. Name(s) of the Stata User(s), together with postal and email address.

2. The software serial numbers of licences that are to be upgraded (where applicable)

3. Which flavour of Stata you require.

4. Operating System.

There are four versions of Stata - Stata/MP 11 (Stata/MP 2 for dual processors and Stata/MP 4 for 4 processors, ... Stata/MP supports up to 64 processors), Stata/SE, Stata/IC and Small Stata (click here to find out how they differ). The folowing prices are available.

We require user information to provide technical support and information to users on new features, training courses and other issues relating to the use of Stata.

What do you receive
All Stata 11 licences are distributed in DVD format.  You will receive one DVD with every license that you order.  A complete set of user manuals is contained as part of the installation DVD in PDF format.  If you require printed documentation, please notify us at the time of placing your order.  Additional costs apply.  Please check our Stata pricelists for further details.

If applicable, please remember to include your VAT exemption certificate with your order.  This will enable us to proceed with your order more quickly.

Please remember we prefer to provide a quotation to ensure you are getting solution that best meets your requirements.

Please note that

• When upgrading licenses we require the serial numbers of the licenses you are upgrading
• When ordering multiple user copies, we require the names of two users in addition to the name of the IT/Purchasing officer
